Aujourd’hui, le 14 mars 2019, on a euthanisé Argentée à dix-hit heures quarante, un peu moins qu’un mois avant son seizième anniversaire. Elle est morte en paix pure, sans la moindre souffrance.

Canada, one of the most amazing and most peaceful countries in the world!

Canada, one of the most amazing and most peaceful countries in the world!

Of all the countries in the world, Canada surely ranks as one of the most beautiful. Canada is the second largest country in the world, covering 4,000 kilometres coast to coast, or 10 % of the circumference of the earth. Our population is a mere 36,000,000, making us one of the least populated countries in the world. China is fourth, with 2 billion inhabitants! But what really makes us stand out is our rank among the top most peaceful countries in the world! We rank 7th. or 8th. all the time, twice even coming in ahead of Switzerland! See the figures below:

First set:

Canada 7 and 8 most peaceful

Second set:

Canada 8 most peaceful versus USA 114

Notice that on the last chart in the second set, Canada ranks eighth and the United States 114! This is because guns are an absolute, hotly contested and irrevocable right in the USA, this situation running counter to all the basic principles of democracy, and accounting for their crime and murder rates, which is 10 times per capita greater than Canadas, where acquiring guns is merely a privilege, as in most democratic nations, not a right by law.

God has surely blessed a very few nations on earth, and we are among the select few.

Complete decipherment of the Kafkania Pebble, ca. 1700 BCE. Is this the first ever inscription in proto-Greek?

Complete decipherment of the Kafkania Pebble, ca. 1700 BCE. Is this the first ever inscription in proto-Greek?

Linear A Kafkania pebble 1700 BCE

This medallion is particularly striking, insofar as it actually appears to be inscribed entirely in proto-Greek. So even though this medallion dates from the Middle Helladic or Middle Minoan era (ca. 1700 BCE), the text appears not to be Minoan at all, but proto-Greek! If this is the case, this is by far the earliest inscription ever unearthed actually inscribed in proto-Greek. The decipherment makes perfect sense. Moreover, the presence of the king is clearly implied in this inscription. And what is even more astonishing is this: the Royal Seal of Malia, equally archaic, inscribed in Cretan hieroglyphics, appears to describe in no uncertain terms the word, wanaka!

the Royal Seal of Malia with wanaka inscribed

If this is true, then wanaka, which as we all know means “king” in Mycenaean Greek, in other words, in a language which came to the fore much later than the Minoan language, is in all probability either a Minoan word or, failing that, in the pre-Greek substratum. It is just as conceivable that all of the words on the Kafkania Pebble fall within the pre-Greek substratum, in other words, that all of these terms were to be taken over by the Mycenaeans at least a century later (ca. 1600 BCE at the earliest).

This is an amazing discovery, to say the very least.

Bahai’ = the latest Dispensation from God = Progressive Revelation

Bahai’ = the latest Dispensation from God = Progressive Revelation

Imagine my astonishment when I happened across the teachings of the Bahai’ Faith, which came into being in the latter part of the nineteenth century. Its teachings are revolutionary. It allows one to keep the faith of one’s birth, in my case, Christian, but it opens up so many avenues to a faith greater than all religions, including itself. The Bahais firmly believe that theirs is not the last revelation, that more are to come. This sets them apart from all past religions. Unlike all previous religions of the past, the Bahai’ faith firmly counsels universal education, the education of women and the equal rights of women and men, the promotion and teaching of technology and science, and the list goes on and on. This sort of religion truly appeals to an intellectual such as myself. I shall be posting the tenets of the Bahai’ faith on a regular basis here on Minoan Linear A, Linear B, Knossos & Mycenae.

Here are the first three observations from the faith:
